I cannot believe it is upon me so quickly, but yes my birthday is next week... I haven't even planned my party. Ah, well. With my neurotic mum and my socially-awkward step father and my over-the-top wacky sister, it is probably better that I NOT have a party. The "V is a cool person" reputation I have so carefully created, word by word, would crumble into dust and float away, down the river, the moment people saw my family. Perhaps a dinner would be more adequate, followed by drinks with close friends and a night out….all expenses paid for of course.
