Fashion Icon Of The Month: Blair Waldorf

Keeping in with the New York theme this week I thought it was right to crown the Queen B of NYC this months fashion icon.Never before have i crowned a fictional person as the months fashion icon, but there is something very special about Blair (played by Leighton Meester) in Gossip Girl. Ever since Carrie Bradshaw walked off our TV sets, Manolos clicking and finally with Mr Big, there has been a big TV fashion icon gap. Blake Lively's Serena may be the commercial success of the show, what with all the teen magazine covers and hair envy, but Leighton has brought Blair to life; along with a great styling team.I don't watch Gossip Girl for the humour (it isn't funny) or the relationships (Dan and Serena = the most boring fake couple on earth - guess their chemistry is off screen) or for the storyline (the books were a million times better!) I watch for one reason only: Blair.I hope you agree that she deserves Septembers title.

I've been looking for this Ann Demeulemeester vest for a while now. They also made it in black but I reckon the white version would look so dramatic in the winter.

thirst for thunder

i've always longed for a tattoo. body art that delves a little deeper into my true self - and that's cute, to boot. i've seen tons of pictures of this guy on party picture websites from around the world, but never did i notice his 'young' tattoo on his forearm. i like it a lot.

throughout 'edge of love' i sat and basked in the beauty of keira & sienna's all but perfect fall outfits.the florals, cardigans, knee socks & wellies: all items that I've been adding to my "Spring wardrobe must-haves" checklist. it makes me want to wander the fields of wales hand-in-hand with my best friend, swapping mustard-colored sweaters and ending the day curled up by the beach with a welsh poet. or at least bury my nose in my worn collection of dylan thomas poetry.
